僕のライフワークとも言うべきラーメン本 「ラーメンマップ千葉」の最新刊となる「ラーメンマップ千葉５」
が、埼玉の出版社「幹書房」さんより発売になりました。2007年春の創刊以来、早いものでシリーズ５冊目の刊行となります。出版不況と言われる中で、このように出し続けられるというのも出版元の幹書房さん、そして買って下さる皆さんのおかげです。本当にありがとうございます。
今年はあらためて千葉のご当地ラーメンである「勝浦タンタンメン」にしっかりフォーカスを当て、 さらには歴史や人気のある「千葉の名店」もしっかりご紹介させて頂きました。 そしてこの本の肝でもあるガイドや新店ももちろん充実。今年オープンした新店は最多の３０軒を収録しました。合計１１０軒という軒数もラーメンマップ千葉史上最多の掲載店になっております。表紙も１、２のスタイルに戻して真俯瞰のラーメンに。黒と赤というイメージカラーも１、２の踏襲です。そして今回の表紙に選ばせて頂いた２杯のラーメンは、「梅乃家」「江ざわ」の２大千葉ご当地ラーメン。およそ２１世紀のラーメン本とは思えない表紙ですが（笑）これぞ、千葉のラーメン本！と言える表紙になったと思います。
この「ラーメンマップ千葉」というラーメン本は、世の中にあるラーメン本への僕なりのアンチテーゼでもあります。毎年同じ文章と写真を流用するようなラーメン本が多い中で、この「ラーメンマップ千葉」については毎回一から本作りをするように心がけています。今回も新店の３０軒をはじめ、新たに掲載するお店も多数収録されていますし、特集では勝浦での最新取材を敢行しました。また、これまでのシリーズに掲載されてきたお店についても、注目すべき新メニューは可能な限り再取材をしてご紹介してあります。もちろん文章についてもすべてのお店について新たに書き下ろししました。
この「ラーメンマップ千葉」シリーズに関しては常に最高傑作であり、自信作でありたいと思っていますが、果たして今回も手前味噌ですが良い出来になっていると思います。本書のあとがきにも書きましたが、カメラの山西さんをはじめ幹書房の皆さんやデザイナーさん、そしてラーメン店の皆さんのおかげです。そして何よりもいつも千葉拉麺通信に情報を寄せて下さる、多くのラーメン好きの皆さんがいなければ出来ませんでした。本当に心からこの場を借りて感謝申し上げます。
毎年買って頂く本だからこそ、前作とは違った本に。そして初めて買って下さる方も多いからこそ必須の情報も網羅出来る本にしようと思って、毎年作っています。初めてラーメンマップ千葉シリーズをお求めになる方でも、これまでの４冊をすべてお持ち下さっている方でも、十分満足して頂ける一冊になっているのではないかと思いますので、どうぞよろしくお願いいたします
